Message from the Founder
Hi, I’m James, the founder of LearnCore.
I went through the NSW school system myself, and what I remember most clearly is how hard it was to ask a question. Falling behind happens quietly and privately. Admitting it in front of thirty people does not. So the questions that mattered most were the ones that never got asked.
What changed it for me was one mentor who made asking normal. Nothing about the subject got easier, but I stopped being embarrassed about the parts I had not understood yet, and that turned out to be the whole difference.
Most tutoring never gets there. A different face every few weeks, group sessions where the awkward question still goes unasked, and generic worksheets that have nothing to do with what the class actually covered that week.
So LearnCore is built the other way around. One student and one tutor who specialises in that exact subject, working together every week, in a space where saying “I still do not get this” is the point rather than something to avoid.

That is why we call our tutors mentors. They listen to what your child is actually worried about, they notice the progress a mark sheet misses, and they keep a session calm enough that a student will say out loud when something has not landed. A question is the job, and a mistake is just information about what to teach next.
All of it runs through our online classroom, so a specialist in your child’s exact subject is available wherever you are.
