My child is struggling with calculus. Can you help?
Yes. Calculus is where most Maths Advanced students hit a wall, and it is what our tutors have taught the most. We break it into manageable steps, work through plenty of practice questions, and make sure your child understands the concept before moving on. Memorising formulas is the last resort, not the first.
Do you work through past HSC papers?
Absolutely. Past papers are central to how we prepare students for exams. We work through questions together, mark against NESA standards, and teach the strategies that earn full marks, including how to show working clearly and how to manage time under pressure.
Is online Maths tutoring actually effective?
Yes, often more so than in-person for Maths. Our interactive whiteboards let students write out working, draw graphs, and solve problems exactly as they would on paper. The tutor sees every step in real time and can correct errors the moment they appear. No commute, no disruption to the school week.
When should we start?
Year 11 is ideal. Building strong foundations early makes Year 12 far less stressful, and the habits built in Year 11 pay off enormously in the HSC. That said, we regularly take on Year 12 students mid-course and make meaningful improvements before exams.
