Your child’s Band 6 in Chemistry
starts here.
Chemistry rewards students who understand the mechanism, not the ones who memorise. Our tutors teach the “why” behind every reaction, so the marks follow.
Book Your Free Trial Lesson → No payment. No account. Just a conversation.Chemistry is where a lot of capable students quietly come unstuck. The content is dense, the mole calculations pile up, and the extended-response marking rewards a precision that school rarely has time to teach. The students who pull ahead are not the ones who memorise the most. They are the ones who understand what is actually happening in the reaction.
The gap is not memory. It is understanding. One Chemistry specialist, matched to your child
Subject specialistsYour child’s Chemistry tutor is a specialist in the exact course they’re sitting, the same eight NESA modules and the same style of exam: a 99.5+ ATAR scorer, an experienced tutor, or an accredited HSC teacher. You meet them in a free first lesson before paying a cent, and they stay with your child every week from there.
- Every tutor holds a current NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- Every tutor scored at least 90+ in Chemistry

Arjun from Learncore has helped my daughter further understand key concepts in senior maths. He has helped her break down the harder questions and using different strategies or methods to solve the questions.

Every module. Every reaction.
Full coverage across all eight NESA Chemistry modules, from Year 11 foundations to Band 6 exam technique.
Organic Chemistry
Reaction pathways, functional groups, nomenclature, and synthesis. The module that trips up the most students in the HSC, and the one our tutors have spent the most hours on.
Equilibrium & Acid Reactions
Le Chatelier’s principle, Ka and Kb, buffers, and titration analysis. Master this early and the rest of the Year 12 course falls into place.
Properties & Structure of Matter
Atomic structure, bonding, and the periodic table, built to exam standard.
Quantitative Chemistry
The mole concept, stoichiometry, and concentration calculations done reliably.
Reactive Chemistry
Rates of reaction, galvanic cells, and predicting reactions with confidence.
Acid/Base Reactions
pH, neutralisation, and the Brønsted–Lowry model as tested by NESA.
Applying Chemical Ideas
Analytical techniques, spectroscopy, and monitoring the environment.

Real questions, honest answers
Can I get an HSC Chemistry tutor online in Sydney?
Yes. We offer fully online HSC Chemistry tutoring for Year 11 and 12 students across Sydney and NSW. Sessions run via video call with an interactive whiteboard and are recorded so your child can review material before exams. The first lesson is free with no lock-in.
What HSC Chemistry modules do your tutors cover?
All eight NESA Chemistry modules. Year 11 covers Properties and Structure of Matter, Quantitative Chemistry, Reactive Chemistry, and Drivers of Reactions. Year 12 covers Equilibrium and Acid Reactions, Acid/Base Reactions, Organic Chemistry, and Applying Chemical Ideas.
My child understands the theory but loses marks in exams. Can you help?
This is the most common issue we see in Chemistry, and it is almost always an exam-technique problem rather than a knowledge one. We work through past HSC papers against NESA marking guidelines, teach students how to structure extended responses, and drill the calculation questions where careless marks are lost.
Do you offer Year 11 Chemistry tutoring?
Yes. We work with both Year 11 and Year 12 students. Starting in Year 11 builds the quantitative skills and module knowledge that feed directly into Year 12 assessments and the HSC exam, and it makes the jump to Year 12 far less stressful.
Is online Chemistry tutoring actually effective?
Yes. Our tutors use interactive whiteboards to work through mechanisms, balance equations, and annotate diagrams in real time. Sessions are recorded and notes are shared after every lesson, so your child can re-watch a tricky worked example before an exam.
